The Brazilian economist turned photographer, Sebastiao Salgado, has been taking monumental images since the 1970s.  As a Magnum photographer he has traveled around the world working on different projects documenting from workers and to refugees of the developing world.  His highly detailed, emotionally strong images provoke the viewer and expel a certain essence of reality that makes his series extremely moving and influential.  The power of his photographs speak for themselves.Sudan
