Mourners in Behesht e Zahra cemetery, Tehran, December 28, 1978

came across David Burnett who had an article on the New York Times Lens blog site.  The images of his 40 days in Iran after the much disputed Iranian election have an erie reflection on his past documentation of the area in the late 70s.

His powerful images speak for themselves and have shocked many by putting a face to the struggle for freedom we know nothing about.
